The visual editor, which is the integral part of the Site Explorer module, offers API that can be used to enrich the editor with user-defined functions, and also customise and alter the editor behaviour. The explained methods can be called on pages where the editor is used, after it becomes initialised.

The API is written in JavaScript. hence all calls must be made inside <script>...</script>. Any error may cause the editor to function improperly.
