Enabling the step-by-step editing of a news block
Users can be granted rights to create and edit news messages. A site editor or
administrator is entitled to publish news on the site. To do so, perform the
following steps:
- In the administrator section Management -> User groups, add a
user group named Authors.
- Add all the users entitled to create and edit news blocks to this group.
- In Workflow -> States, set the rights to manage news
messages so that members of the Authors group are able to edit such
documents (assign them the Draft state), but not publish them (assign
them the Published state).
- In the news editing mode, give the Authors group the Workflow
right.
As a result, members of the Authors group will be able to create or
change news blocks but not publish them on the site. To publish them,
confirmation of the site editor or administrator is required.
To confirm publication of news messages, the editor should open the news
editing section and change the message state (Draft will be replaced
with Published).
