Editing the information block element
In this topic
This form is the foremost tool to add elements manually. For example, you can use it to add new products to the
catalog, publish news and so on.

Active |
If checked, denotes the element is permitted to be displayed in the public section. |
Active period |
The period during which the element is active. If the ending date is omitted, the element is permanently active. If the ending date is omitted, the element is considered active since its creation. |
Name |
Name of an element in the public section. |
Properties and values |
Pairs "Property Name" : "Value". You can create element properties
on the information block settings page. |
Commercial catalog
This section is only displayed if the information block settings has the option Is catalog
enabled. |
The "Prices" Tab |
This tab is used to specify product prices for different price types.

Base price |
The base price of the product. |
Base price currency |
Currency in which the base price is specified. |
Price type |
Available price types. |
Type of extra |
This field is used to select the type of extra (or discount) which is to be used
to calculate the final price, for the corresponding price type. |
Amount |
Final product price adjusted for the chosen type of extra. The final
amount is calculated using the following formula:
[Cost] = [Base price] + [Base
price] * [Extra percentage] / 100
If no extra is selected, you can
type the amount manually. |
Currency |
Currency in which the product price is specified for this
price type. |

The Prices (ext.) tab |
This tab servers to specify the product price for different price types. You
can provide here extra factors that can affect the final amount.

These fields serve to specify relationship between the quantity
of product units and the price. For example, you can indicate that, for 1 to
5 pcs. the product price is $100 per unit, and for 6 to 10 pcs. - $90 per unit.

can specify range as the product quantity. |

Type of extra |
Used to select the type of extra (or discount) which is used to calculate
the final price for this price type. You cannot apply extra or discount to
the base price.

Unit price |
Price of a single piece of the product for the specified price type and quantity. |
Currency |
Currency in which the product price is specified for this
price type. |
Click More... to add more rows where you can define more
price parameters and settings. |
The Parameters tab |
This tab contains information about the product to be put for sale. If the catalog is enabled to
sell electronic content, this tab displays the subscription parameters.

Quantity of products currently in stock. If the option
Reduce quantity upon order is active, you cannot change this value
manually. |
Reduce quantity upon order |
Check this option if you want the value of the field In stock to automatically decrement
when an order occurs. |
Weight |
Weight of a product unit, in grams. |
Subscription parameters |
Payment type |
Defines the type of payment for purchasing the electronic content. The
following types are available:
- One-time - means that a customer can buy the product only once.
No further actions will be performed on the product;
- Recurring (subscription) - instructs the system that, when the
specified period expires, a customer is to be billed again to renew the
product usage;
- Trial - implies purchasing a trial version of the product (e.g. trial
access). When the specified period expires, a customer will be billed to buy
a full version of the product.

Payment duration |
Period of time on expiry of which the system will bill a customer again.
This field should be filled for the payment types recurring and trial. |
Time unit of payment duration |
The time unit used to define the payment duration (month, day, hour etc.) |
Trial for |
If you have chosen a trial as the payment type, specify the full
version here. When the trial period expires, a customer will be asked to
purchase the specified product (full version). |
Renewal without ordering |
For use with the recurring payment type. If this option is active, the order
total amount will be calculated when renewing (subscription), but an order will not
be created in the system. This option may be useful if small regular charges
are to be drawn off the user internal account.

The Groups tab |
The Groups tab is displayed only for elements of a content selling enabled commercial catalog. This tab helps manage selling permissions to access the site
resources.

Used to select user groups to which the customers are to be added when
they purchase the product. |
User group |
Name of the respective user group. |
Active period |
Period of time during which customers are the members of the user group. When the specified period expires, a customer will be deleted from
the group. If set to 0, customers are added to the user group forever.

The Discounts tab |
The Discounts tab allows to choose discounts that can be applied to
the current product.

The discount ID. |
Site |
The ID of the site whose products can be sold with this discount. |
Active |
Indicates that the discount is active. If the discount is inactive, it cannot be applied. |
Name |
The name of the discount. |
Amount |
The discount value. |
Action |
Actions that can be performed to discounts. Click Edit to switch to the discount editing. |

This form is used to provide an element with a short description. Such description can be used to enrich an element with a brief review in lists.
